Founder & Executive Director

Bettina Gannon

Bettina is a nationally recognized advocate, debater, and podcast producer with a passion for youth-led media and public policy. She is the creator and host of an award-winning podcast recognized at the state level, where she leads in-depth interviews on activism, civic engagement, and social justice. Bettina serves as Vice Executive Director at WriteCause and as a Team Leader at TurnUp Activism, where she mentors organizers, conducts legislative research, and coordinates outreach to local media.

She placed 15th in the nation in Congressional Debate and currently serves as Captain of her school’s nationally ranked debate team. Bettina is also an editor of her school’s yearbook, Class President, and a leader in multiple honor societies. Her work bridges journalism, leadership, and advocacy to amplify youth voices and drive change.

Director of Resources & Services

ATLAS SAAVEDRA

Atlas Saavedra is currently a junior in West Palm Beach, Florida. Atlas is a passionate advocate and activist, having led a walkout in their freshmen year of highschool in protest of banned books via Walkout2Learn. They are a proud member of the SEE Alliance, volunteer at local science and art museums, and thespian—having dabbled in acting, directing, stage management, and playwriting. A writer at heart, Atlas hopes to inspire and educate the world one word at a time. 

Director of Finance

BRANDEN MARTINDALE

Branden is the Director of Finance and Fundraising with extensive experience in both nonprofit development and the finance industry. In 2024, he raised over $50,000 for blood cancer research through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. He is currently a founding member of Driven by Promise, a student-led initiative supporting women’s breast cancer research. 

Branden also serves as a private intern to the founder and managing partner of a private equity firm. He is a member of the varsity tennis team, enjoys playing golf with friends, and spends much of his free time at the beach. He has competed at the highest level in both Congressional and Public Forum debate for the past two years, currently serves his third consecutive term as Vice President of his class in the Student Government Association, and is actively involved in Model United Nations.

FRANKIE CARCELEN

Hi! My name is Frankie Carcelen. I am going into my senior year and excited to continue my role as Outreach Director for Justice Advocates Network! I am going into my senior year, and I love to hike and play golf!
